Åviken Cabin

Get closer to nature in a cozy cabin at the edge of the forest. A chance to just be. 

This 25 m2 log cabin is decorated with the ambition to preserve the original and rural feel without compromising on comfort. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and everyday needs, including spices, tea, oil and locally produced honey.

The newly renovated bathroom has a shower, a generous water heater and toilet. The largest space in the cabin consists of a sleeping area and dining area with views both down to the lake and towards the forest. The wardrobe has space for the guest's clothes and belongings. Cotton satin bedding is included, there is access to extra wool blankets, pillows and even an electric blanket for warming frozen bodies after really cold winter excursions. 

The open fireplace increases both the coziness factor and the warmth even further! The entertainment offered, in addition to all the natural experiences around the corner, is in the form of WiFi connection. 

The surroundings The cottage is located on the edge of a property with a main building and a couple of outbuildings. The plot consists of large open grassy areas surrounded by old forest and extends all the way down to the lakeshore. In the area around the property, light pollution is minimal, which creates fantastic conditions for seeing truly colorful northern lights during large parts of the year. 

A rechargeable flashlight is provided in the cottage to enable peaceful walks even in the darkness of autumn and winter. Next to the cottage there is a barbecue area with grill and free access to firewood for cooking and socializing outdoors. 

Find the property From the E4, take the Råneå Norra exit. Drive in the direction of Niemisel and after about 20 minutes turn right onto a gravel road towards Ängesträsk. After 5km, the property is on the left, before you reach the village of Ängesträsk. The easiest way is to use Google Maps, otherwise it is easy to miss the entrance to the property.
